Attorney General Paul Morrison's investigation of abortion provider Doctor George Tiller is taking longer than he expected.
And abortion opponents are still seeking a way around Morrison, an abortion rights Democrat.
Morrison said March 28th that he'd have a decision on whether to prosecute Tiller within a few weeks. Nearly seven weeks have passed.
Spokeswoman Ashley Anstaett said the attorney general's office is still finishing up its review of evidence gathered by Morrison's predecessor, Phill Kline, an anti-abortion Republican.
Abortion opponents don't trust Morrison. Operation Rescue President Troy Newman, says it is exploring legal and legislative options. He wasn't more specific.
A Tiller attorney said today that Tiller has broken no laws.
